Every year, we invite residents and their families to share honest feedback about their experiences, helping us celebrate what we’re doing well and identify opportunities to make life at the home even better. Truly at home at Water Mill House
The feedback from residents in our latest survey at Water Mill House reflects a home where people feel safe, respected and truly at home. Every resident told us they would recommend Water Mill House to others, while 10 out of 10 said they are supported to maintain their independence. Everyone surveyed also confirmed that our team treats them with kindness, dignity and respect, creating an environment where people can continue to live life their way with confidence and reassurance. Residents captured the warmth of the home in their own words, with one sharing, “I get to see my family when I want to, and I feel safe and at home.” Another simply said, “The staff are so lovely here. I am so happy to be at Water Mill House.” Feedback like this is a wonderful reflection of our caring team and the welcoming community we are proud to provide.

A skilled, compassionate Care Team
Families also shared exceptional feedback in our latest survey, giving us great confidence that their loved ones receive the highest standards of care. Every relative agreed that our team has the skills and compassion to provide the care their loved one needs, while 97% rated the laundry service as good. Relatives spoke warmly about the care, communication and vibrant lifestyle at Water Mill House. One family shared, “Both my parents are so happy and have exceptional care, they feel very lucky they can continue to live feeling safe and happy.” Others praised the varied activities, welcoming atmosphere and dedicated team, describing the home as a place where residents are well cared for and families feel informed, supported and always welcome.

We came to Water Mill House to have lunch with my brother. We were greeted and met with great courtesy and had a coffee in the Bistro. The ambiance was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Lunch was wonderful, tasty and beautifully presented. Our experience was very positive and I feel my brother is in excellent hands.

The nursing team and carers cannot do enough for Mum. The weekly doctor’s visits and the attention to detail has been amazing. A 5-star experience for our beloved mum. Thank you to the manager and the team, you really have lived up to your promises.

I could not wish for a better place to for my husband who has late stages of Parkinson’s. The care and kindness from every member of staff is unbelievable. They give him his dignity, but health and safety always comes first. I don’t know where we would be without Water Mill Care Home.

I can’t describe my sense of gratitude that our brother is being cared for with such compassion and diligence. The care home both cares and is a real home. We were served the most delicious lunch and treated as real family members, not tiresome visitors. 5 stars all round!

My mother spent the last few weeks of her life on the dementia floor. We were very impressed by the kindness and respect with which all the residents were treated. The way Mother (and we) were cared for at the end of her life was excellent. We are very grateful to all the staff that we can look back on this difficult time with the comfort of knowing that Mum was in the right place and with the right people around her.

This is a very caring care home. It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We arranged for a family get-together in the private dining room. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. It was a happy and relaxed occasion. 5-star food!

Dad’s passing was peaceful, pain-free and dignified. The staff were awesome, so caring, kind and gentle. He passed away in a comfortable bed in a safe and secure and loving environment. I cannot praise and thank the staff and management of Water Mill House enough, it’s a truly caring family atmosphere.
