National Award Winners
Water Mill House is proud to be the Winner of the Palliative Nursing Home Provider Award at the Palliative and End of Life Care Awards 2026. This national award recognises our commitment to outstanding end of life care. Led by Clinical Home Manager, Victoria Forsythe, our team was praised for creating thoughtful initiatives that bring comfort to residents and their families. Judges highlighted our Legacy Orchard and Caring Circle, a monthly support group for current and bereaved families. They described the team as “compassionate and very thoughtful” going above and beyond to make every end-of-life journey as peaceful and dignified as possible. This award reflects the kindness, compassion and dedication shown every day.
Regional Recognition
We are proud to have been named a Finalist for the Care Culture Award at the Hertfordshire Care Awards 2026 and a Finalist for the Dignity in Care Award at the Great British Care Awards (East Region) 2023. These awards recognise the culture we have built at Water Mill House. We treat every resident as an individual and support them with dignity, compassion and respect. Community is at the heart of life here. From cultural celebrations and charity partnerships to environmental projects, we create meaningful experiences shaped by the interests of our residents and team.
