You’ll become an important part of our care team when you join Water Mill House Care Home in Hemel Hempstead as our General Assistant.  In this role you will support and interact with our residents on a daily basis, however you will not be required to give personal care.

 

You don’t need to have experience; we’ll give you the skills and training you need to be successful in this important role.

Your role

As our General Assistant, your role is to support our care team with looking after our residents with their daily activities.  You will help them with getting around and enjoying our lovely home, take part in fun activities and provide company to them throughout the day.  You will help our catering team with preparing and serving food and beverages too.  Your warm, supportive, and caring nature will help you build meaningful relationships with our residents and you will get to know everything about their likes and dislikes. Here’s some other important things you need to know:

  • You must be alert at all times to our residents’ physical and mental well being
  • You will help maintain our high standards ensuring our residents’ home is always clean and safe
