Providing peace of mind for family and residents
At Water Mill House, it always makes us proud to hear that our care has given a family back their peace of mind, providing reassurance that their loved one is happy and safe. In order to give the best possible care, we use a variety of ways to regularly gather feedback from our residents and those closest to them. We listen intently to our residents and their family members in our anonymous annual survey. We deeply value their feedback and it is used to continually improve our service.
This is the heart-warming response to our 2023 survey.
Compassionate, personalised care
Our skilled team receives on-going training and support so they can provide the high-quality dementia care that residents deserve. We’re delighted that nine out of ten residents feel the team provides the care residents need, and 100% said they are supported to maintain their independence as much as possible. One family member said: “Warm atmosphere, excellent medical care, wonderful carers. Knowing our loved ones are living there gives us great peace of mind.”
Kindness, dignity and respect
100% of residents said that they are treated with kindness, dignity and respect. It is important to us that we extend the same support to families, so we were pleased that 91% of relatives said that they felt they could speak to senior management if they wished to, while 100% of residents said they feel safe living here. One relative said: “The compassion & love provided by some of the carers has and continues to be outstanding.”
A happy home
Our home encourages friendships and connections through a variety of meaningful activities. 100% of residents said they are supported to take part in activities and hobbies. One relative said: “My relative is well looked after and allowed her independence. We made a great choice with Watermill.”
