Providing peace of mind for family and residents

At Water Mill House, nothing makes us happier than hearing that we have given a family back their peace of mind, knowing that their loved one is safe and happy.  In order to give the best possible care, we use a variety of ways to regularly gather feedback from our residents and those closest to them. We listen intently to respondents in our anonymous annual survey. This feedback is deeply valued and used to continually improve our care.

This is the heartwarming response to our 2021 survey.

Compassionate, personalised care

Our team receives on-going training and professional development so they can provide the quality, compassionate care that residents deserve. 100% of families felt that our team provides the care residents need, and 9 out of 10 residents said that staff know their needs and preferences well. One family member told us: “I cannot thank everyone enough for all their support, care and compassion during Dad’s stay and the continued support and care for Mum.”

Kindness, dignity and respect

100% of families said that residents are treated with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect, and 9 out of 10 said that they would be happy to recommend Water Mill House to a friend. 100% of those surveyed said the team respects residents’ privacy whilst encouraging them to lead as independent a life as they are able to.

A safe and happy home

Our team curates a lively schedule of daily activities that encourage friendships and connections, so we are delighted that 100% of residents told us they feel safe and happy living here. 100% of families agreed that our home and gardens are clean, tidy, and well maintained. One family member told us: “Thank you to the amazing staff on the ground floor who have kept my mother safe and happy.”

Safety during Covid-19

During Covid-19, it has been our absolute priority to keep residents safe and families regularly updated, so we are proud that 100% of families and residents agreed that the team has done all they can to keep everyone safe during the pandemic.

9 out of 10 families added that they have been supported during this unprecedented time to maintain a relationship with their loved one, via various means of communication.
