DELIGHTED TO RECEIVE SECOND COVID VACCINE

We are proud to support the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination in our home, boosting our existing safety measures and bringing a much-welcomed light at the end of the tunnel.

With an air of celebration and anticipation for the year ahead, the second and final dose of the vaccine was administered by our health partners from the local community to excited residents and team members in April.

Speaking of receiving her second immunisation jab, our resident Joan says: “I’m so happy to be fully vaccinated. It didn’t hurt one bit!” Her friend and fellow resident Daphne was also keen to have the vaccine: “I’ve had vaccines all my life and have always been happy to. I’m lucky to have now had both of my doses.”

Lifestyle Coordinator Marie added that: “We all want to do everything we can to keep our lovely residents safe and well, so it feels great to now be fully vaccinated!” Similarly reassured, Water Mill House’s Home Manager Victoria Forsythe said: “It feels wonderful to be able to protect our residents and team with the much-anticipated vaccine. It’s an important step in making sure our home is as safe as it can possibly be.”

As lockdown restrictions start to ease, we will continue to work in line with national and local guidance regarding the stringent upkeep of our enhanced safety measures that have been in place over the past year. This includes regular testing for team members and residents, high-quality PPE worn at all times by all members of our team, enhanced cleaning schedules, and regular reviews of our approach to ensure we remain at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.
